Erik, As described in <http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/ldm/ldm-current/basics/pqact.conf.html#output-file limit>, pqact(1) will close the least recently-used file descriptor if and when it needs a new one. Thus, you needn't worry about the number of descriptors in use. > Would there eventually be an issue where too many file descriptors are left > open?
