[LDM #HHB-843721]: encrypting ldm stream

Nice to see you're still out in the weather community...

I have given this topic a little thought over the years and
without actually testing it, think one possible way to do 
end-to-end encryption is using something to wrap traffic 
between LDM instances.  stunnel comes to mind...
