Marty, The pqact(1) configuration-file has entries that FILE the data-products under the absolute pathname "/data". You said that you executed the command "ln -s /data data" as the LDM user in that user's home-directory. That command makes the symbolic link in the wrong (i.e., reverse) direction. In order for the FILE actions to work, the command "ln -s $LDMHOME/data /data" would have to be executed -- where $LDMHOME is the home-directory of the LDM user (after first removing the "data" symbolic link in the LDM user's home-directory, of course).
