[LDM #UHA-103928]: LDM not starting

From your description, it sounds like the necessary entry was in the 
"/etc/hosts" file some time ago, which is why the LDM worked then. That file 
could only have been changed by someone with root privileges, so it's possible 
that the IT patch removed the entry. I suggest contacting IT to ensure that it 
doesn't happen again.
