Mike, > We are not using the pqinsert -i option. Should we? Depends. pqinsert(1)'s "-i" option causes the signature (i.e., MD5 checksum) to be computed from the product-identifier string. This is much faster than computing it from the data of the data-product -- but you have to guarantee that all product-identifiers are unique.
