Evan, > The output of the command sequence you sent in your previous message is > given below: > > [ldm@bou ~]$ netstat -a -t --inet > Active Internet connections (servers and established) > Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State ... > tcp 0 0 *:unidata-ldm *:* LISTEN ... > tcp 0 0 192.168.38.86:unidata-ldm 192.168.33.33:59697 ESTABLISHED The netstat(1) output shows an LDM server listening on port 388 (unidata-ldm). Why did you say that the computer isn't listening on port 388? Are you not able to connect to it? If so, then the problem might be your firewall rules: they might not allow incoming TCP connections to port 388. > [ldm@bou ~]$ ls -l $HOME/bin/rpc.ldmd > -rwsr-xr-x 1 root ldm 206641 May 16 2007 /home/ldm/bin/rpc.ldmd > [ldm@bou ~]$ grep '$port' $HOME/etc/ldmadmin-pl.conf > $port = "388"; > [ldm@bou ~]$ > > Best regards, > Evan Regards, Steve Emmerson Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: SWP-583361 Department: Support LDM Priority: Normal Status: Closed
