Mark,
A good way for an LDM site to test whether or not it can
get data from another LDM site is to execute the "notifyme"
program. For example, the following command
notifyme -vl- -f NEXRAD2 -h nws-ldm1.erc.noaa.gov -p KDEN -o 3600
will indicate if a downstream LDM process on the local host
can receive NEXRAD2 data-products whose product-identifier
contains the string "KDEN" from the upstream host
nws-ldm1.erc.noaa.gov. The "-o 3600" specifies how far back
in the product-queue to look for matching data-products in
seconds and is used merely to get an immediate response.
Regards,
Steve Emmerson
