Lou, I can't tell what the problem is because logging by the LDM is disabled. Please edit the file /etc/syslog.conf as root and change the entry *.info;mail.none;news.none;authpriv.none;cron.none /var/log/messages to *.info;mail.none;news.none;authpriv.none;cron.none;local0.none /var/log/messages Make sure that the whitespace that separates the fields comprises tabs only. Also, change the entry #local0.debug /home2/ldm/logs/ldmd.log to local0.debug /home2/ldm/logs/ldmd.log And, again, ensure that the separating whitespace comprises tabs only.
