Hi Yoori, re: > My name is Yoori Choi, PHD student at Drexel University in Philadelphia. For > our research purpose, I'm trying to setup LDM in our LINUX machine. But when I try to compile the file (Of course I'm > now login as ldm), it says "there is no permission to access into this > file." Could you please give some advice how I can resolve the problem? Did you download the LDM distribution as a user other than 'ldm'? If yes, then you will need to change the ownership of the file so that your 'ldm' user can unpack the distribution and build. It would help us if you sent the result of the following: <login as 'ldm'> cd ~ldm id ldm ls -alt Also, a couple of steps in the LDM installation will need to be done by (or as) 'root'. Do you have 'root' privilege on your machine? If not, you will need to contact your system administrator for help when you get to those steps. > Thank you. No worries.
