I think you're being too kind.
I'm afraid you're stuck. You could
1. PIPE the data-products to a script or program that would recognize them
and put them into individual files; or
2. FILE the data-products all together (i.e., concatenate them, which is t
he default).
Given the questionable decision regarding the product-identifiers, neither of t
he above alternatives is optimal.
