James and Gerry, A downstream-LDM 6.4.2.1 on Sasquatch received a SIGABRT around 2005-10-14 14:32:52. It didn't, unfortunately, create a core file. This might be because /proc/sys/kernel/suid_dumpable was set to "2" after the LDM was restarted or because that version of the LDM didn't make enough calls to prctl() ($#@! Linux documentation!). Consequently, I've upgraded Sasquatch's LDM to version 6.4.2 (which calls prctl() profusely) and started it in such a way that it should dump core if it crashes. Regards, Steve Emmerson
