Mark, For some reason, I didn't received your pervious email regarding "ldmadmin and uname -f", so I don't know what the issue is. I can say, however, that the hostname(1) utility is non-standard and can't be relied-upon to exist -- much less have the same options (hostname(1) doesn't have a "-f" option on SunOS 5.8, for example). Regards, Steve Emmerson NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publicly available through the web. If you do not want to have your interactions made available in this way, you must let us know in each email you send to us. ------- Original Message >To: address@hidden >From: Mark Price <address@hidden> >Subject: RE: ldmadmin and uname -f >Organization: UCAR/Unidata >Keywords: 200501141742.j0EHgev2000782 I just wrote the email suggesting using uname -f instead of uname -r in ldmadmn I should have instead written hostname -f Sorry -- Mark Price SysAdmin Advanced Weather Information Systems Lab University of North Florida mailto: address@hidden ------- End of Original Message
