Both are from the linux ldm server. The LDM logfile on Alaska has many entries like the following: Oct 02 12:16:14 alaska ldm-12[1337]: Desired product class: 20031002121035.840 TS_ENDT {{IDS, "^.*"}} Oct 02 12:16:14 alaska ldm-12[1337]: ERROR: requester6.c:459; ldm_clnt.c:286: nullproc_6 failure to ldm-12.crh.noaa.gov; ldm_clnt.c:142: RPC: Unable to receive; errno = Connection reset by peer Oct 02 12:16:14 alaska ldm-12[1337]: Sleeping 30 seconds before retrying... This means that the LDM on Alaska (presumably the Linux system) was able to connect to host "ldm-12", but that that host closed the connection. The reason for the disconnection might be in the LDM logfile on host "ldm-12". The LDM logfile on Alaska also has entries like the following: Oct 02 12:16:13 alaska rpc.ldmd[1329]: Starting Up (version: 6.0.14; built: Aug 15 2003 16:11:59) Oct 02 12:17:53 alaska rpc.ldmd[1329]: RPC buffer sizes for ls1-msr: send=16384; recv=87380 Oct 02 12:17:53 alaska rpc.ldmd[1329]: Denying connection from ls1-msr ... This means that the LDM on host "ls1-msr" tried to connected to the top-level LDM on Alaska but the connection was refused by Alaska's LDM -- undoubtably because there is no ALLOW line for host "ls1-msr" in the LDM configuration-file (etc/ldmd.conf) on Alaska. > I have contacted our Regional person to get permission and access to our ldm > server.
