Hi Mike, Still no definitive answer. uptime on nimbus is reporting that it's been up for 18 days. Perhaps you rebooted the IRIX machine but not nimbus? Would you please try a reboot just to eliminate some possibilities? After that, if the problem is not fixed, may we have root access to nimbus? With this we will run some diagnostics like nmap and strobe so that we can identify the problem to the Telecom people. You have recently rebuilt the queue, correct? Because there is a queue version difference between 5.1.2, which you're running now, and later versions. So if you're trying to switch back and forth you'll need to rebuild or keep an old version around. I wouldn't think that something like a queue version problem would keep ldmping from working, but I have seen errors manifest themselves in very unexpected ways. Also, some clarification please: has the IRIX machine tried to feed outside your network or only from inside? That is, has the connection problem (as opposed to the assertion failure) appeared on the IRIX? Is cyclone the IRIX?
