We need the full name of the machine on which the LDM is installed and
its IP address.  In order for the LDM to work, name service for this
machine must support both forward and reverse name lookup.  This means
that:

nslookup machine_name

will yield the same information as:

nslookup machine_ip_address

After we get the machine's name and IP we can run some tests to determine
how good an internet connection you have, and, finally, select a site
from which you will be fed data.
