One time I was wondering why nothing had >updated and finally I decided to check to see what LDM processes were >running and none were. So I restarted LDM. When this happens, you should check the end of the current LDM log file. Before you restart this would be ~ldm/logs/ldmd.log. After you restart, this would be ~ldm/logs/ldmd.log.1. (This comment assumed that your logging is setup and working correctly, of course). >Then a day or so later it >happened again. And the last time it happened was late this morning, >just around noon time or thereabouts. What would be causing that, how >do I "correct" the problem, or what should I do to prevent this from >happening? We need more information on why it stopped. >Each time I simply restarted LDM and everything seemed to >start flowing again. So I am open to suggestions or comments. Again, need input :-) >We must be getting ready to have some big weather event. When I was >interning at SELS the old joke was if there are equipment or software >problems then there must be some "weather" getting ready to happen >somewhere. :-) I guess in this case we can refer to tomorrow. :-) What version of Linux are you running? What we need is the vendor name and release version. Also, are you up to date on OS patches (especially security ones)? Tom
