The LDM product queue is created with a fixed size when the LDM is
setup.  The queue has been 300 MB for quite some time on your machine.
As to it being in the root directory: the LDM queue is typically put in
~ldm/data.

No, the LDM will not run.  Data products from feed sites is put into
the queue upon receipt.  pqact then reads through the queue and
does what it is told to do by actions in ~ldm/etc/pqact.conf.

I would say that other use of your disk filled it.  Try looking
around for extraneous data files and/or core files that can be
deleted.

By the way, I have been working at creating a new distribution of
gribdec.  This one should be able to handle the high resolution model
data that one can FTP off of the NOAA site(s) or get through a CONDUIT
feed.  In order to access some of the larger grids in McIDAS, users
will need to load an addendum (also in progress) and rebuild everything.
