We would like to begin receiving radar data at usu.  Our ldm server is
running on allegan.nr.usu.edu.  I have tried the following things and

I have done a notifyme on the our floater site
(nimbus.atmo.arizona.edu) and it gives me this error:

I have done the same with the suggested nexrad feed from
cirp.met.utah.edu and it seems to work.  Which site should we connect
to.  We would like areas of interesting weather, and a regional feed
that always includes Utah.

Hi Joshua,

You should use cirp to get the NEXRAD feed.   And, use your primary feed, presumably nimbus, to get the FNEXRAD feed, which is the floater feed.

The floater feed, FNEXRAD, will provide "interesting" radar data from around the country.  Currently this consists of products from about three radar sites, but we expect to be increasing that in the future.  And, you can request whatever radar data you want from the NEXRAD feed.  I strongly recommend requesting small amounts of data from the NEXRAD feed to start.  The NWS is adding more and more products to the feed.  The impact on our network will depend on much data individual sites are requesting.
