I have read the bit about regular expressions. > These entries appear fine, except that for propriety reasons the NLDN data must be requested directly from SUNY. You'll have to contact them and ask them for a feed - we can't set that up for you. You can take out the request to uni0 - that's just an example. Generally there's no need to request the same feed from two sites, but I see you have the "request UNIDATA ".*" cirp.met.utah.edu" commented out, so that's ok. Here is a page with some example patterns: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/packages/gempak/examples/pqact/pqact.html > Lastly, do I need to stop and then restart LDM to change ldmd.conf and > pqact.conf? > You *do* need to stop and restart the LDM to have it pick up changes to ldmd.conf (Note: you *don't* need to stop and restart the LDM for changes to pqact.conf. For those changes you need only do "ldmadmin pqactHUP", then do "ldmadmin tail" to see a line in the log ensuring that the conf file was reread. > Just for completeness, and in case you can see any other mistakes, here > are my exec and allow sections in ldmd.conf: > > exec "pqbinstats" > exec "pqact" > #exec "pqsurf" > > allow UNIDATA pluto.met.fsu.edu > allow UNIDATA cirp.met.utah.edu > #allow NLDN pluto.met.fsu.edu > #allow NLDN cirp.met.utah.edu > Are cirp and pluto feeding from you? (I missed the beginning of this.) I assume not since you are using them as feeds. If you are a 'leaf' node, you don't need any 'allows'. The 'execs' look fine. > Jim > > -- > James R. You probably only just got my last message, but again, it's best to send such questions to support@unidata so that it will be forwarded appropriately.
