Tom,

No its not necessary to keep the old queue around. You can always create a new 
one 
with pqcreate from ldm 5.0.x.

The points that Russ was trying to emphasize are that:
1) you have to make a new queue for ldm5.1.2
2) If for some reason, you had to back out of the update because something 
wasn't working,
   then, if you had your old queue - and it was within 1 hour of your 
switchover,
   then you could revert back with your runtime link, use the old queue, and
   you would not have to catch up on every product that you had received 
previously.

   After 1 hour, there really wouldn't be anything worth saving in your old 
queue
   because pqexpire would delete it in the 5.0.x version.
