I am running the LDM on a Linux box sending to a Digital Unix box.
Both are now running 5.0.8. The Linux box sends a report to the
digital unix box once a minute. However, if the connection times out
for some reason, we miss a report.
Here is an example:
Linux log file:
Aug 18 06:34:07 pressure dry(feed)[22042]: -UW/pressure/19990818063237/230: RPC:
Timed out (5)

Aug 18 06:34:51 pressure dry(feed)[22205]: Starting Up: 19990818063420.755 TS_EN
DT {{EXP, ".*"}}
DEC log file:
Aug 18 06:34:21 dry.atmos.washington.edu pressure[20012]: Connection reset by pe
er
Aug 18 06:34:21 dry.atmos.washington.edu pressure[20012]: Disconnect

Note that the last report that pressure tried to send to pressure is dated
06:23:37, but dry requests reports starting at 06:34:20 - i.e. it requests from
when the connection dropped - not the time stamp of the last product it received
successfully. This strikes me as a design flaw.

Change in my last report - dry is a Solaris 2.6 machine - not a digital unix
machine.
