Re: 19990526: DDPLUS still valid?

Hiya,

DDPLUS originated with the alden satellite feed, then the IDD came and the
DDPLUS was separated into DDS and PPS.  Now with the NOAAport feed, DDPLUS
has made another come back. Internal to the LDM DDS|PPS == DDPLUS has
always been there as well as DDS and PPS.  I believe the separation
occurred so sites could reduce the amount of data on a feedtype.

Internal to the LDM it tries to condense the DDS|PPS to DDPLUS.  There are
other internal LDM aliases, ie  DDPLUS|IDS|HRS|MCIDAS == UNIDATA.

I wouldn't worry about it because the NOAAport feedtypes will be coming
out soon and DDPLUS|IDS|HRS will be deprecated.
