Sina, I think you could benefit from studying the IDV documentation: - IDV User Guide: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv/docs/userguide/ - IDV Workshop Material: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv/docs/workshop/ - IDV Video Tutorials: http://goo.gl/n0Frpb Here are a few IDV related technologies that I would like to bring to your attention: - ISL: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv/docs/userguide/isl/index.html - ZIDV Bundles: https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv/docs/userguide/Bundles.html - Cloud IDV: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/blogs/news/entry/cloudidv-integrated-data-viewer-in Also, I am not trying to sound pedantic or obtuse, but I am not sure how you are using the word "model". I define model as a numerical weather simulation such as GFS or HRRR. The IDV can read and visualize the output of those simulations typically in grib or netCDF file format. These data can be local to the IDV or on a remote server. It sounds like you are using the word model to mean the visualization produced by the IDV (i.e., an IDV bundle) when you visualize model data. I examined the the Pivotal Weather site (www.pivotalweather.com) and the College of Dupage weather site (http://weather.cod.edu/). Both were unknown to me until now. If your goal is to do something similar but for the IDV, you have your work cutout for you, but is in theory possible. For example, you could have a workflow that looks something like this: - ISL scripts and corresponding bundles that run on cron or in batch mode producing IDV images or movies - Some sort of script or program to upload those images to your website Best, Unidata IDV Support > Hi, > > Let me rephrase my question.
