Hi Ronnie- The IDV needs to have grids with a pressure or height domain to do the calculation of IPV, but you are reading in raw WRF grids which have the WRF Eta coordinate. We strongly suggest that you use a post-processing program on the raw WRF output before loading it into the IDV.
