[IDV #FIT-294156]: idv installation problem

I'm sorry for the delay in responding.  I thought I had answered this, but I 
must have never sent the reply.

You can check the version of glx by running glxinfo.

Some ATI cards (and or drivers) will report older versions of GLX, but will 
still run the IDV.  That does not seem to be the case here.

It may be that you have to update the driver for your graphics card.  The 
default driver may not support the necessary version of GLX.
