When I look at this, there is a parameter default defined for Precip which gets used. That has a default range of 0 to 50 kg.m-2 with a contour interval of 2.5. This is beyond the range of your data. When I scale them by 1E-4, then I end up with values well beyond the data range. You can override this system parameter default by selecting the Tools->Parameter Defaults Editor. In the "System defaults" tab, scroll down to find the ^precip.* field (regular expression to get all fields that start with precip). Right click on that row in the table and select the Copy Row to Users Default menu. That will pop-up a dialog which allows you to set new values or ignore some. I unchecked the Defined checkbox for Range and Contour and set the units to kg/(s*m2)*1E-4. Since the Range and Contours settings are not predefined, it will calculate these based on the data. Alternatively, you can set the values for these settings according to your data.
