Hi Chris-

I apologize for the delay in responding. We have been in and
out of the office over the past couple of weeks.

I'm guessing that the installation program doesn't know how to handle
the 64 bit OS. We have installed it on a 64 bit machine running Linux,
but don't have experience with the Windows version.

About the only suggestion I have is to download the 64 bit version of
Java JRE from Sun:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp

and then download and install the 1.3.2 version of Java 3D:

https://java3d.dev.java.net/binary-builds.html

Once you have those installed, then download the IDV JAR files:

http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/downloads/idv/latest/ftp/idv_jars_1.3b1.zip

and un-ZIP them into a directory where you want to install it
(e.g. c:/Program Files/IDV_1.3B1). You can then go to that
directory and run the IDV from:

java -Xmx512m -jar idv.jar

This would be using an unsupported version of Java (5.0) but
it might work.

If you have questions, let us know.
