Toggling out of Full Screen mode seems to work on the several machines
I've tried so far, including a G4 laptop running Panther, a Cube running
Tiger, and an iMac running Tiger. This is promising!

Good. Thanks for testing this.

There is a new, unrelated problem that has cropped up, however. When I
request a data source via a URL (RUC, NAM, or GFS model output residing on
a local Web server in our computer lab), I get an error message that looks
typically something like this:

    An error has occurred: There was an error loading the data:

I think your prognosis is correct, e.g., the tmp/nj22 directory isn't getting created.
We will fix this. Thanks for finding it.
