>From: "Arthur A. Person" <address@hidden> >Organization: Penn State >Keywords: 200510311725.j9VHPM7s011511 IDV level II radar Hi Art- >> What was the exact error message. Did is say it wasn't there or >> that it couldn't open it? Are these uncompressed from NCDC or >> bzipp'ed files? > >Okay, I figured it out. It said "Unknown location of selected files, >please select from list". After staring at the menu a moment, I realized >I had to tell it which radar site the data was for, which surprised me. >I thought it would have known that automatically when I selected the data >files using the data file headers. Is there any reason it can't just use >the headers, or is this a holdover from when the headers used to be >inadequate? Just a holdover. It's on my list of things to do. ;-) If you put the files in a directory with the radar id, it will guess it from that. Otherwise, you'll have to specify the location for now. >BTW, it also "just works" with the NCDC data, which will help us a lot. Great. Let me know if you have other questions.
