20050404: problem in installing IDV

Indeed, you were right, it is a localization problem.
By setting LC_CTYPE=en in the environment, I can
launch IDV. I tried the other localization
parameters and it seems to be this one that matters.
In my usual settings, all the localization parameters are set to fr_FR.
