20050204: IDV - IDV won't let me load an .xml file

not compatible with "VisADDataSource" data family


Hi Laura,
I think you probably tried to load the catalog xml file in the "Urls" data source chooser and the IDV tried to load the xml as data. What you need to do is load it in the "Catalogs" chooser. This will show the data sets that are available in the NARR.xml catalog. You can then choose one of those data sets and then 
load it into the IDV.
