Are you going to read them through the GrADS-DODS server?  That's
the only way the IDV supports reading GRIB directly (i.e. NOMADS
data).  The issues that usually arise there are bad unit specifications
in the GDS.

I guess my only advice would be to try and and let us know if
it doesn't work. ;-)
