>From: Andrew Watts <address@hidden> >Organization: ? >Keywords: 200407280014.i6S0EQaW016659 IDV Hi Andrew- >Don, thanks for the reply - No problem. What organization are you with and what would you be using the IDV for? >I am running the installer, but will probably be switching to >compiling from source. But right now I am just interested in testing >some capabilities and seeing how IDV works. Okay. >I will double check the data but I am fairly certian it is 8 byte, >single band format. Perhaps it is too large, I will limit the area, >try again and let you know if I have any more trouble. Okay, let me know. >Do you know where any data, of this type, is freely available? I am >just looking to test. I got a sample at: http://edcsgs9.cr.usgs.gov/glis/hyper/guide/1_dgr_demfig/states/CO.html and http://edc.usgs.gov/geodata/samples.html You'll need to uncompress them before the IDV will work. >I read in an abstract you co-authored >(http://ams.confex.com/ams/pdfpapers/73366.pdf) mention of a WCS >prototype that is being implemented by Unidata. Do you know what is >the status of this WCS? I would probably be intersted in testing it >out if it is available. No work has been done on this that I know of since that paper was written. It was being worked on by some others here (John Caron), but I think other projects have taken on higher priorities.
