>From: Gerry Creager n5jxs <address@hidden> >Organization: Texas A&M >Keywords: 200406262022.i5QKMaWb009204 IDV NEXRAD Level II Gerry, >Might we chat sometime 'bout IDV? I just tried to get some of the data >going, and I find it doesn't want to connect to a remote site for Level >II data... I've nfs-mounted the craft directory and we'll see what happens. Two things: - there is no remote server for NEXRAD Level II data, so it needs to be accessible locally - the IDV can display the uncompressed Level II data, but not the bzip2 compressed files If you want to use the IDV with the Level II data, you will need to have an action (already contained in ~ldm/etc/pqact.gempak_craft.tamu, but commented out) that uses dcnexr2 to create uncompressed output. >Thanks, gerry Later... Tom -- NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publically available through the web. If you do not want to have your interactions made available in this way, you must let us know in each email you send to us. >From address@hidden Sat Jun 26 20:48:20 2004 I'm snagging the data via scp from bigfoot to handle decoding appropriately... For some reason, IDV wouldn't work via NFS, although it could see the directory and all the files. I'll keep playing w/ it. Thanks, Gerry
