Hi, re: > We noticed a few days ago that the feed of GLM lightning flash density > stopped updating. We hadn't noticed that our LDM feed of the TTU value-added GLM L2 products had stopped, thanks for reporting it! re: > It looks like it has yet to start back up, and I haven't > seen any news on the Unidata site or social media feeds about the outage. > Do you happen to have any details on this that you can share with us? > > https://thredds.ucar.edu/thredds/catalog/satellite/goes/east/products/GeostationaryLightningMapper/CONUS/current/catalog.html Apparently there was a firewall/security perimeter change made at TTU that is preventing our LDM REQUEST for their products. We contacted TTU to see if they can get the situation remedied after seeing your inquiry. NB: The TTU GLM L2 products have been created and shared under a grant that will soon expire. After the monies run out, these products will no longer be generated, so they will disappear from the IDD and our TDS instances since they are fed from the IDD. We have been working on replacing the TTU GLM products with VLAB GLM products that NOAA is generating in AWS. We are hoping that these replacements (which are all full disk, but only have 3 of the fields that the TTU ones have) will be ready for general distribution in the IDD _soon_.
