Hi Matthew, re: > In the coming few weeks (or less), we will be moving the current > amrc.ssec.wisc.edu to new hardware. Yes, I have seen the announcement! re: > If at all possible, I would like to test having our new hardware > – under a temporary name – be enabled in the current Antarctic-IDD. > Hence, I request to have ALLOWs added for the following machine here > at Wisconsin: > > frost.ssec.wisc.edu > > I believe the primary need is from antidd.ucar.edu for the feed of > AMPS/Polar WRF model output. Can this ALLOW be arranged?? Since there are both forward and reverse DNS for this new machine, it should already be ALLOWed to REQUEST the feed(s) that your old machine did from antidd.ucar.edu. The best way to test if this is the case is to: <as 'ldm' on frost> notifyme -vl- -f ANY -h antidd.ucar.edu If your machine is properly ALLOWed, you should see a message with an OK in it. A message that contains 'Access denied by remote server' is an indication that the ALLOW that should be there is not. Please let us know if you run into this! RE > Thank you all so much! We will announce the date of the hardware > switch amrc.ssec.wisc.edu, as soon as it is set. No worries and very good.
