Hi Yixin, re: > I reinstalled ldm-6.13.6 and followed the previous steps... OK, good. re: > ldmadmin start > getLock(): Cannot create/open lock-file "/usr/local/.ldmadmin.lck" This is indicating that you installed the LDM in /usr/local, not /usr/local/ldm. Question: - what is the HOME directory for your 'ldm' user? re: > What is the ip of your machine. And please give me the public key. I will open > the ldm@taku to you. Is the password for the 'ldm' user on taku the same as on mistral? If yes, does 'ldm' have 'sudo' privilege? I ask because it is possible that I would need 'root' privilege to fix the problem if the HOME directory for 'ldm' is in a directory it does not own. My DSA public key is the one in mistral's ~ldm/.ssh/authorized_keys file. I would be logging in from one of the following two machines: abbott.unidata.ucar.edu <-> 128.117.156.43 gale.unidata.ucar.edu <-> 128.117.144.126 Cheers, Tom -- **************************************************************************** Unidata User Support UCAR Unidata Program (303) 497-8642 P.O.
