Here is a table of volumes of the different data types that pass through our
servers that are applicable to your needs:
Maximum hourly volume 29778.367 M bytes/hour
Average hourly volume 21051.052 M bytes/hour
Average products per hour 353660 prods/hour
Feed Average Maximum Products
(M byte/hour) (M byte/hour) number/hour
NEXRAD2 7253.188 [ 34.455%] 11052.412 78595.311
NGRID 4275.820 [ 20.312%] 7062.578 32031.378
CONDUIT 2903.117 [ 13.791%] 6363.288 60640.067
NEXRAD3 2334.075 [ 11.088%] 3259.140 105971.133
HDS 375.824 [ 1.785%] 671.153 19556.178
NOTHER 263.958 [ 1.254%] 823.951 1313.089
NIMAGE 170.501 [ 0.810%] 266.179 195.089
IDS|DDPLUS 59.937 [ 0.285%] 80.788 43828.933
UNIWISC 39.441 [ 0.187%] 106.139 19.556
NEXRAD2 and NEXRAD3 are RADAR data and products (2 and 3 respectively) not sure
if you wanted those or not?
CONDUIT is hi-res model output from NCEP
NGRID is model output from NCEP
HDS is the rest of the NCEP model output
NIMAGE is satellite imagery
IDS|DDPLUS are surface obs and soundings
UNIWISC is additional satellite imagery
....hopefully this will give you an idea for expected volumes.
