[IDD #CSG-448538]: Re: NGRID NAM218 3 hourly output file

This archive contains answers to questions sent to Unidata support through mid-2025. Note that the archive is no longer being updated. re: how do you want the 12km CONUS NAM 218 grids organized

OK.  I commented out the two actions at the bottom of ~ldm/etc/pqact.grb2_conf
and implemented the following:

# LHBH60 KWBE 131800 !grib2/ncep/NAM_84/#218/201408131800F042/HGHT/600 hPa PRES
# LEBH98 KWBE 131800 !grib2/ncep/NAM_84/#218/201408131800F042/P03M/0 - NONE
# LTBH75 KWBE 131800 !grib2/ncep/NAM_84/#218/201408131800F042/TMPK/750 hPa PRES
# LTBH57 KWBE 131800 !grib2/ncep/NAM_84/#218/201408131800F042/TMPK/575 hPa PRES
# LTBH55 KWBE 131800 !grib2/ncep/NAM_84/#218/201408131800F042/TMPK/550 hPa PRES


NGRID   ^[LM].B... KWBE .*grib2/ncep/NAM_84/#218/(....)(..)(..)(....)F(...)
        FILE    -close
        data/model/CONUS_12km/\1/\2/\3/NAM_CONUS_12km_\1\2\3_\4_\5.grib2

This should organize all of the grib2 messages for each forecast hour for
each model run time into a single file in the hierarchy:

~ldm/data/data/model/CONUS_12km/<CCYY>/<MM>/<DD>/NAM_CONUS_12km_YYMMDD_HHMM_<forecast
 hour>.grib2

If you want the individual grib2 messages written to individual files, more
work will need to be done.
