Hi Marty,
re: want upstream feed site(s) for
> PPD, DDS, IDS, CONDUIT, FNEXRAD, LIGHTNING, WSI, FNMOC
> NIMAGE
You should already be able to get most of these feeds from
UCSD (machine aeolus.ucsd.edu). Comments follow:
LIGHTNING - lightning data is only available as point-to-point
            feeds from upstream providers:
            NLDN - UAlbany
            USPLN - WSI
Please review the information in the Unidata lightning
            pages:
            Unidata HomePage
            http://www.unidata.ucar.edu
              Data
              http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data
                Lightning Data
                http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data/#lightning
WSI - WSI provides NEXRAD Level III data and composites in the
WSI feed. The problem is that this is _not_ free. If
you are interested, nonetheless, you should ask about the
feed if/when you talk to WSI about the USPLN lightning
data (which _is_ free to Unidata universities)
CONDUIT - the CONDUIT datastream is a very high volume service; it
contains upwards of 6 GB/hour for hours of heaviest volume.
The NGRID feed might have most if not all of the things you
           are looking for.
The following listing will give you and idea of the volumes
of each datastream available in the IDD:
Data Volume Summary
Maximum hourly volume 12034.756 M bytes/hour
Average hourly volume 6224.844 M bytes/hour
Average products per hour 226051 prods/hour

PPD,DDS,IDS - I think you mean PPS,DDS,IDS. These are all part of the
IDS|DDPLUS datastream. It is available from UCSD.
FNMOC - UCSD is not receiving this datastream. You can feed
               it from idd.unidata.ucar.edu
FNEXRAD - this is available from UCSD
NIMAGE - this is available from UCSD
Cheers,
Tom
