Hi Reymer, re: > I hope that you can remember me. I'm the assistant of Marcial, from > the University of Costa Rica. Yes, of course I remember you! re: > I've a trouble with my email account > address@hidden, so I can't write you from them. No worries. re: > We've running a LDM server on the cluster, the server is on the ip address > is 200.9.33.37. Can you get me access to some server running on internet2 > or idd.unidata.ucar.edu please! OK. I have setup an appropriate ALLOW for your machine on the idd.unidata.ucar.edu node that your machine has bee trying to feed from. Since your machine does not have forward and reverse DNS, I had to hardwire a definition for its name in our /etc/hosts file; I called the machine cluster.ucr.ac.cr. As I write this reply, I see that your machine has been ALLOWed to request data: <snippit from ~ldm/logs/ldmd.log> Oct 22 08:55:27 uni1 rpc.ldmd[1684] NOTE: child 19576 exited with status 1 Oct 22 08:55:27 uni1 rpc.ldmd[19577] NOTE: Denying connection from "200.9.33.37" because not allowed Oct 22 08:55:27 uni1 rpc.ldmd[1684] NOTE: child 19577 exited with status 1 Oct 22 08:55:56 uni1 cluster.ucr.ac.cr(feed)[19589] NOTE: topo: cluster.ucr.ac.cr {{HDS, (.*)}} Oct 22 08:55:58 uni1 cluster.ucr.ac.cr(feed)[19590] NOTE: Starting Up(6.8.0/6): 20101022135656.848 TS_ENDT {{UNIWISC, ".*"}}, SIG=NONE, Primary Oct 22 08:55:58 uni1 cluster.ucr.ac.cr(feed)[19590] NOTE: topo: cluster.ucr.ac.cr {{UNIWISC, (.*)}} Oct 22 08:55:59 uni1 cluster.ucr.ac.cr(feed)[19591] NOTE: Starting Up(6.8.0/6): 20101022135657.340 TS_ENDT {{IDS|DDPLUS, ".*"}}, SIG=NONE, Primary Oct 22 08:55:59 uni1 cluster.ucr.ac.cr(feed)[19591] NOTE: topo: cluster.ucr.ac.cr {{IDS|DDPLUS, (.*)}} In order for this connection to continue to work, one of two things need to happen: - you/your network group sets up forward AND reverse DNS for the machine - I will have to modify the /etc/hosts file on each node in the idd.unidata.ucar.edu cluster The first option is the one that we prefer, so please try to get forward/reverse DNS setup for the machine as soon as you can.
