Hi Mary, re: > We had a clog of requests on our main web page and that messed up ldm on > aeolus. OK. re: > Our sys admin rebooted aeolus yesterday but I don't think ldm started > properly (our ship bbx person wrote me today that the bbx files were not > being updated). > > I ran through the steps you outlined last year (below) but I don't think it > is running. > Would you please take a look when you have a chance? I logged into aeolus as soon as I saw your email. I did the following and the LDM appears to be running normally: <as 'ldm'> ldmadmin clean ldmadmin start I will continue to monitor this for a short while to make sure that it continues to run. FYI, I will simply keep a 'less' going on the ~ldm/logs/aeolus.uptime log file and watch the number of connections columns: Downstream (# aeolus is feeding) | Upstream (# aeolus is requesting from) | | Total 20091210.2324 1.00 1.00 1.00 0 0 0 0 33M 0 50.00 0.00 0.00 50.00 20091210.2325 1.22 1.05 1.02 1 7 8 13 27M 0 46.83 38.54 14.63 0.00 20091210.2326 3.73 1.79 1.27 5 7 12 73 37M 0 48.48 51.52 0.00 0.00 20091210.2327 4.38 2.33 1.49 6 7 13 133 43M 0 36.36 60.10 3.54 0.00 20091210.2328 5.32 3.02 1.78 11 7 18 194 30M 0 30.98 69.02 0.00 0.00 20091210.2329 4.61 3.25 1.93 14 7 21 253 36M 0 45.96 26.26 0.00 27.78 20091210.2330 3.22 3.10 1.96 14 6 20 312 38M 0 60.10 39.90 0.00 0.00 20091210.2331 3.50 3.21 2.07 14 7 21 374 26M 0 47.09 28.16 1.94 22.82 re: > I see one large cpu job called pqcat but I don't know what that is doing? 'pqcat' is used to copy products out of the LDM queue and can be useful if one is trying to see exactly where products are being received from. Why this would be running on your system is not known to me.
