Hi Mary, re: > aeolus rebooted on Oct 24th and ldm did not start. > I've tried to follow the commands on the web page: > http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/ldm/ldm-6.6.5/basics/activating.html > > but something does not seem correct as I am unable to do the ldmadmin > mkqueue command. > > Would you please take a look? When I logged on to aeolus after seeing your note, I found that the runtime link was missing. I recreated it; deleted and remade the LDM queue; and started the LDM as follows: <as 'ldm'> cd ~ldm ln -s ldm-6.7.0 runtime ldmadmin delqueue ldmadmin mkqueue ldmadmin start aeolus is now working _hard_ to catch-up with all of the data it missed while the LDM was not running. By the way, aeolus is running the most recent version of the LDM, LDM-6.7.0. One of the nice features in this release is the automatic checking of the LDM pattern-action file(s) and the LDM configuration startup file itself (~ldm/etc/ldmd.conf). > Thanks! No worries.
