Hi Massoud, re: > I do have a file in ~ldm/logs/ldmd.log, but it doesn't > have any log messages in it. I was afraid of this. > In fact, when I'm starting LDM I receive this message. > > [ldm@wimden ~]$ ldmadmin start > The product-queue is OK. > /home/ldm/etc/pqact.conf is syntactically correct > hupsyslog: couldn't open /var/run/syslogd.pid > Starting the LDM server... This typically indicates that the LDM was not completely installed. Since you noted that you had completed the LDM in a previous email, it likely means that the configuration specified in /etc/syslog.conf has a problem; that the SELINUX setting is not allowing logging; or that syslogd is not running. Please send us the following files (the actual files, not cut and paste's of the files): /etc/syslog.conf /etc/setlinux/config /etc/rpc /etc/services Also, please send the output from: ps -eaf | grep syslog > [ldm@wimden ~]$ > > Could you please give me some assistance on how I can fix > this problem? Please see above. > I have attached my ldmd.log in this email if it helps. Nope, and empty log file is not likely top be of much help.
