Rob,
OK, you should be ready to feed. Give me a heads up whenever you start the
feed so I can monitor.
Thanks,
-Mike
I have added the entry to ldmd.conf and restarted my LDM.
I also sent a request to our network/firewall folks to allow the machine:
daved.ims.uaf.edu (137.229.40.226) access to port 388 on our network. That
should happen within a day, so I'll get back to you shortly with the
confirmation that we are ready to go.
cheers,
-Mike

Hi Mike,
The good folks at UAF/School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences
would like to begin ingesting data..
The UAF/GI is ingesting via U of Washington, so I would like a different
path up there so they are not relying on a single point of failure. We
will probably merge the two feeds into UAF in the future as needs and
resources dictate.
But for now can you place an:
allow ANY-NLDN-GEM-FNMOC-PCWS daved.ims.uaf.edu
If rossby is not ingesting any of the "propriatry feeds"
NLDN-GEM-FNMOC-PCWS
Looking at the stats, it appears as if NLDN is the only one we need to
watch, so an:
allow ANY-NLDN daved.ims.uaf.edu
is the appropriate entry.
Feedtypes: DDSPLUS|IDS|CONDUIT
He is planning on only requesting a subset of the CONDUIT feed..
Hope this is AOK with you :)
Cheers,
Jeff

Mike,
Everything is a go. I'll admit to having a ldmping going at 10 minute
intervals to watch when the firewall went down :)
I'll be manually testing the 'conduit' feed in the future.
To request specific products I think I would change the ".*" in the
request line?
To turn on and off the conduit feed, can I have two separate request
lines? Comment it out when I'm finished testing it.
request IDS|DDPLUS ".*" rossby.met.sjsu.edu
request CONDUIT ".*" rossby.met.sjsu.edu
I'll comment it out to turn the conduit feed (as well as restart the ldm).
Just as an example, if I only wanted the Surface products from IDS|DDPLUS,
would I do?
request IDS|DDPLUS "^SAUS.*" rossby.met.sjsu.edu
If so, once we find appropriate bulletin headings for conduit, I'll pare
down the requests on the conduit feed to just the ones we are looking for
in Alaska.
Rob
