We want to make you aware that the UFRJ is already playing a key role
in the Unidata IDD by hosting a top level redistribution node for
Brazil on the machine solon.meteor.ufrj.br.  This IDD node works in
conjunction with CPTEC/INPE to form the top level sites for what we are
referring to as the IDD-Brazil, a network that currently includes UFRJ,
CPTEC, USP, and UFPA.

I believe that the machine brisa.meteoro.ufrj.br is already functioning
as a data ingest node for the UFRJ Meteorology Department.  Are you
proposing that the department wants an additional LDM node, or are you
proposing that meteoro.cefet-rj.br act as replacement for brisa, or,
perhaps, are you on a different UFRJ campus?
