>From: Unidata User Support <address@hidden> >Organization: UCAR/Unidata >Keywords: IDD unidata2 Hi, Last Friday, December 20, we asked all of you that were feeding from sunshine.ssec.wisc.edu to switch over to unidata2.ssec.wisc.edu. Wouldn't you know that on Christmas day, unidata2 would develop disk problems that affected its ability to relay data. A fiber channel card on one of the Sun T3 units on unidata2 failed causing the partition on which the LDM queue resides to be unaccessible. Jerrold Robaidek of SSEC has been working with Sun to get this problem resolved. A Sun Engineer is scheduled to visit SSEC around 10:30 am CST (16:30 UTC) on Monday, December 30. Since unidata2 will not be accessible for some period of time during that visit, we are advising you of the potential need to temporarily fail back to sunshine.ssec.edu. As soon as the problem with unidata2 is resolved, we will want you all to once again feed from it instead of sunshine. Please contact Unidata User Support with any questions/concerns about your data feeds. Tom Yoksas
