>From: Larry Riddle <address@hidden> >Organization: UCSD/Scripps >Keywords: 200108020430.f724UJ122550 LDM NOAAPORT IDD John, In regards to your getting a feed of NEXRAD data from UCSD: >> I'm a systems admin at the University of North Dakota. We'd >>like to get access to the NEXRAD radar data feeds at your site through >>Unidata LDM. I believe you currently have authorization for our >>machine remus.rwic.und.edu. If you could change that to >>adiabat.rwic.und.edu, I'd apprecite it. > >Well, I don't have any UND hosts in my ldmd.conf file and, to the best of >my knowledge, I never have had UND there. That being said, I have no >problem putting you there. > >I can't say how good the routing will be. It's a long way from San Diego >to North Dakota. But, you're there. Give it a try. I was under the impression that UND had access to a NOAAPORT reception system. I got this impression from our program manager, Ben Domenico, who recently met with Leon Osborne at the Regional Climate Center. Are you in a different location than Leon, or is there no connection between the Climate Center and your department? If you do have a relationship you would probably do better to feed the data from that machine than get the data long haul from Scripps. Just curious... Tom Yoksas
