Subject: SAUS80 vs SAUS54

Does anyone know what the difference is between the SAUS80 vs SAUS54 2 WMO
headers? I'm extracting data
using the pattern in pqact.conf :

DDS ^S[AP][ACHMNPUX][AEKMNSUWX].. .... ([0-3][0-9])([0-2][0-9]

It appears that the same observation appears under the SAUS80 and SAUS54 for
many stations, such as KAST.
I'm essentially storing the same data twice and would like to eliminate one of
the headers but can't find
"detailed" documentation to indicate the difference.

Thanks,
