CONDUIT model data users, The host computer for the NMC2 feed is changing to a new machine- the effect of which is that the data directory structure for the model data files has changed from a leading /public directory name to /u/ftp/gateway. The remaining part of the directory naming structure is identical, and if you are using pattern/actions that key on any part at or past the /ncep directory names, then you will not need to make any changes (pqact.conf entry examples at http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/staff/chiz/ncep_idd/) eg, previously: /public/ncepe/nggrib/ruc2a.990224/ruc2.T21Z.bgrbanl etc. new: /u/ftp/gateway/ncepe/nggrib/ruc2a.990224/ruc2.T21Z.bgrbanl etc. Data will be injected from both machines while the new machine is being configured.
